A New Site (Soon!) and a Plea for Houstonians’ Help

I seem to have run into a problem that I’m beginning to think is (sadly) pretty common among people who work in the media and/or the Web sector: I’ve been spending so much time getting other people’s sites loaded up with content and/or looking spiffier that I have ended up neglecting my own. However, a  much improved site and blog are on the way, along with PDFs of some of my most recent articles and other portfolio pieces, which happen to be sitting here on my desk in need of scanning. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this, as the current site design and I should have parted ways years ago.

In the meantime, I have a favor to ask: If you’re from Houston or you’ve spent more than, say, a layover there, please email me (or comment here) with your favorite places to go, eat, see, and stay there. I’m writing a book about my hometown for Globe Pequot Press’ Insiders’ Guide series, and I want to make sure that the suggested restaurants, hotels, parks, shops, clubs are as eclectic as possible.
